Overcoming Systemic Evil

OVERCOMING SYSTEMIC EVIL

At the outset, I want to say that if anyone is offended by this writing, it is not my purpose   to offend you. However, I cannot hold it in. We are all living in very serious times. I must speak plainly and directly. To those who say that I have no right to say such things, my response is that I am a human being and I have an inalienable right to speak what I believe and to stand for the truth of my faith. Not one word of this article is meant as hate. I do not hate anyone. If you disagree with me I love you anyway.

I also want to say at the outset that I am not an anarchist. I believe in the rule of law. I believe in good governance. I am opposed to “Systemic Evil,” that is, unjust leadership,   and wrong governance. I can't help but feel that we have a lot of that in Canada, America and the Western World.

Many in society are oblivious, or apathetic, to the fact that some of government is operating in systemic evil. In fact they have very little concept or a warped concept of what systemic evil actually is. This doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is when many professing Christian believers don't have much concept of systemic evil and the need to resist it.

 It is surprising because our Bible, the standard for the faith that we profess to believe, speaks to this issue. Let's dive in. Theologians and pastors warn us of a future time when the world will be ruled by a one world government that is totally evil. At the head of this government is an individual called the “man of sin”, “the son of perdition.” We read in the Bible;

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) Most theologians and pastors would say that this individual is also referred to in; Revelation 13 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4. It must be acknowledged that these verses require interpretation to arrive at an end time theology. The Revelations 13 chapter is very interesting and sobering. It speaks of three figures who are working together in an end-time evil purpose. They are the Dragon, the beast and another beast. Many consider these figures to be the Devil, the antichrist government and the Antichrist himself or also another evil individual, the “false prophet”. The idea of world government comes in when we read of the beast, “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Revelation 13:7)

The man of sin is also commonly referred to as the “Antichrist.” This in interpreted from verses such as 1 John 2:18 which reads; “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

(1 John 2:18 )

From this we see that there is coming an “antichrist” and also “many antichrists” who have come before him. In other words, there is the one antichrist and also many other antichrists working in advance of him, perhaps setting up and assisting in the managing of his system. There is also a spirit of antichrist that is operating. We read; “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” (1 John 4:3). There is a future antichrist, there are many antichrist forerunners and assistants, working in advance of his coming and there is a spirit of antichrist operating now.

Let this sink in. This is not all future. The antichrist kingdom is in formation stage now. You can turn on your tv and see some of  its progression. It's spirit is in the world.

How do you identify the antichrist kingdom? I try to understand this by asking "what is promoting a one world government?" The government of the antichrist is a future one-world government. Is there any Christian pastor who would disagree with that statement?

World Government, New World Order, or said in another word, “Globalism.” Globalism is the belief in the unification of the world's systems, financial, religious and, ultimately, political into one entity. It is propagated in parts and pieces throughout our education systems and through our media. What is promoting globalism?” Our political system.

Did you say that our political system is promoting globalism? Yes, much of it but not all of it. Let's try to understand this.

Liberal governments generally  favor some forms or some levels of  globalism.  Liberal governments generally speaking, embrace globalism as a good thing. They feel much connection to organizations such as the United Nations, The World Health Organization and International global environmental summits and Paris Climate Accords. Liberal globalist sentiments relate to  environmental conservationism. Liberals believe that the world is suffering an environmental emergency, on a global level. This belief leads to liberals favouring some form of global government, at least on some level,  which will be able to introduce or even implement Global solutions to correct this crisis. I am not saying that at this time, most Liberals want to see sovereign governments fully dissolve. However, I think that it is fair to say that they generally support as much international collaboration as possible. They don't seem to be too concerned over the claims of the Christian Church that the future one world government will be totally evil.

By saying this, am I calling all Liberals and all present globalists antichrists? No. But I think that they are leaning-in to something that will go horribly wrong in the end.

Are Conservatives globalists? There is no “yes” or “no” answer to this question. Let's break it down. I would like to discuss two types of Conservatives “Establishment Conservatives” and “Tea Party Conservatives.”

In my opinion, establishment Conservatives are those party members who are centre-right. Many of them love “Progressivism” which is really just another word for Liberalism. Those conservatives who love progressivism  could cross the floor and join the other side without very much disruption to their personal beliefs.  Some of these may be  globalists.

Tea Party Conservatives are the opposite of Establishment Conservatives. The Tea Party movement is a Libertarian expression of conservative belief that stands for freedom. It defends freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of choice, freedom from regulation, freedom from excessive taxation and freedom of the individual. Tea Party conservatives are “true blue” conservatives and represent the antithesis of Liberalism and Progressivism. In my opinion, most conservatives would fit or lean-towards this Tea Party kind of conservatism. Tea Party Conservatives are not globalists.

Liberals generally favour some level of  globalism. There is only one problem. The Christian Church teaches that the coming one world government will be totally evil. This puts Christian belief and One-world government at opposite ends of the table from each other. That's right, they are opposites.

Is it only this one ideological issue of globalism that separates  Christian Conservatives from Liberals? No. There are more. Let's list several pressing issues: Using government to promote world religions, homosexual sin and abortion.

The worship of false gods is something that comes up again and again in the holy scriptures. God has revealed Himself as YAHWEH, the one true and only God of the Bible. “Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.” (Deuteronomy 4:35)The Old Testament records a long saga of times when the Hebrew people were faithful to worship The one true God and then times when they were unfaithful and worshipped the false gods of other pagan cultures. Every time they worshipped foreign Gods, God was deeply hurt and offended. This is the first of His Ten His commandments:

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

(Exodus 20:2-6)

The unbelieving secular world does not understand how deeply offensive foreign religions are to God. They offend Him because they misrepresent Him and His message. The apostle Paul warns:

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.” (1 Corinthians 10:20)

How have Liberal governments, leftists and some establishment conservatives treated foreign religions? They generally celebrate them by making and following policies of multi-culturalism and fund such religious practices with tax dollars. However, world religions conflict with each other because of the contradictory tenets of their different faiths. There are, of course, many aspects of culture that are not necessarily religious in nature such as cultural dress, foods, language, mannerisms, etc. If they are not religious in nature, they are neutral elements and not problematic. However, when foreign religious spirituality is celebrated, the Bible tells us how God feels about it.

Some would cry “racist!” My response would be “Is God a racist?” Certainly He is not. And certainly God has the right to say what spirituality and religion should be and shouldn't be. He has said what spirituality and religion should be and shouldn't be within the pages of the Bible.

Liberals would say that the secular government can't promote one religion, Christianity over others. Well, if that is their belief then, they would be better off to not  promote world religions altogether. Why can't they just concern themselves with governmental matters and not spend time and resources promoting conflicting spiritualities?

Consider for a moment what a government policy such as the Peoples Party Of Canada would look like. They say that they would "Repeal the Multiculturalism Act and eliminate all funding to promote multiculturalism."  (https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/canadian-identity) They say in their party platform; “However, over the past decades, the government of Canada has pursued a policy of official multiculturalism that encourages immigrants to keep the values and culture they left behind instead of integrating into Canadian society and adopting Canadian values and culture. With his cult of diversity, Justin Trudeau has pushed this ideology even further into a form of extreme multiculturalism. He described Canada as the first post-national state, with no core identity. In a free society, immigrants have the right to cherish and maintain their cultural heritage. However, that doesn’t mean we have any obligation to help them preserve it, with government programs and taxpayers’ money. ” (https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/canadian-identity)

The second thing that I have listed that  offends God is homosexual sin. Why? Because God has ordained traditional marriage, that is, the marriage of one man and one woman in holy union. Jesus taught:

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father

and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they

twain shall be one flesh?(Matthew 19:5)

Of homosexual unions the Bible explicitly says: “ Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22)

But are not people born that way and simply living an alternative, not sinful lifestyle? Here is what the Bible says:

"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:24-32)

(see additional comment at the end of this article)

These are strong words. They come from God's book. This does not mean that all who are on this path have no hope. God wills that all of sinful humanity, would come to Him, put faith in Jesus Christ, repent from sin and self-rule and be forgiven and changed. There is so much love and acceptance extending to the one who will choose to surrender to God.

Sadly, many liberals, leftists and many establishment conservatives defend the homosexual lifestyle and are frequently passing legislation that defends and promotes this lifestyle in society. They try to pressure Christians to adopt Liberal positions on sexual ethics even though our God has clearly revealed to us what we are to believe in these matters. When that pressure comes in the form of laws, it is a violation of our religious freedom and of our religious rights.

I have listed one more issue of concern, “Abortion.” God places worth and value on human life because human life is an expression of His own image. Mankind was created and given a privileged status over the rest of God's earthly creation. We read; “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26-27) The life of every man, woman, child and unborn child is sacred and precious. Humanity has been created in the image of God. God strictly commands “'You shall not murder.” (Deuteronomy 5:17 New American Standard Bible).

Abortion is the murder of an unborn human child.  It is  evil. It is offensive. It is ugly. Yet many politicians re-frame the issue in different language and promote it as a right.

I have listed four issues separating Conservative Christianity from mainstream Liberalism: Globalism,  Using government to promote world religions, homosexual sin and abortion. Systemic evil expresses itself in other ways as well. I believe that our Liberal (Canada) and Democrat (American) political systems have been, to some degree, harming the population of our countries by providing and promoting Covid vaccinations. Is harming too strong a word? In my opinion, it is not too strong a word. Why do I feel this way? Because of the many harmful side effects that follow receiving these vaccines.

We don't know what the long-term effects of these Covid vaccines will be because these vaccines have not gone through the normal 5-10 year testing period. However, we can see some early effects and they are frightening.

What are some of the reported side effects that we can see that have followed taking a Covid vaccination? For my research on this I am going to the Canadian government website https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/vaccine-safety/#specialInterest. Here the government makes known the following reported side effects that have followed receiving a Covid vaccination: Thrombosis with thrombocytopenia Syndrome, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Myocarditis/Pericarditis, Capillary Leak Syndrome, Cardiac Arrest, Cardiac Failure, Acute Kidney Injury, Bell's Palsy, Stroke, Inflammation of the spinal cord, Fetal Growth Syndrome, Deaths and numerous other side effects (visit the website to see more). I don't know about you, but if I had to choose between having Covid or having any of the above mentioned conditions, I would rather have Covid.

The Canadian liberals/Democrat led government, has not just provided, but pushed and pressured, citizens to receive the vaccines. As I write these words, thousands of workers have been forced off of their jobs because they chose not to receive the vaccines. Thousands more of us have been segregated from participating in aspects of society. We have had restrictions put on the practice of our faith in regards to corporate worship (That has been now lifted). Some have not been allowed to attend weddings and funerals of loved ones. We have been barred from visiting loved ones in hospital. We have been barred from leaving the country, using airlines, passenger trains, sea ports. (That has been now lifted, this was written during the covid years)I have seen the liberal government   ramping up its persecution campaign. The most serious of these violations is the government forcing thousands of Canadians out of their jobs. This action devastates peoples finances, potentially leading to bankruptcy or even homelessness. The government has aggressively pursued its pressure campaign to break into submission those of us who consider the vaccine to be unsafe for ourselves and for our families. This government has also forcefully broken up protests and arrested dissenting, protesting Canadians, as well as freezing some of their bank accounts.

Despite the application of the maximum level of pressure, many Canadians have refused to back down. They are courageously standing up for their rights.

The kingdom of anti-christ will be fully manifested during the period that the theologians call the great tribulation.  He (the antichrist) will be utterly idolatrous, even receiving worship. There will be an enormous amount of innocent human bloodshed, not just in the womb.

Why is God so opposed to this kind of systemic evil? God is Holy. The secular person has little or no concept of this. The born again Christian does understand, from his/her experience of knowing God, that God is Holy. However, even the most enlightened ones of us, “...see through a glass, darkly...” (1 Corinthians 13:12)and do not grasp the height, width or intensity of the Holiness of God.

These are days of tremendous adversity. Systemic evil rolls on. The Liberal/NDP government   keep pressuring. We in turn, turn to our God for help. At some future time,  the antichrist will take his place at the top of the pyramid. Then all of the little antichrists animated by the spirit of antichrist will be united with their leader, receiving his mark.

We are the resistance. We are the true blue. We are the members of the Kingdom of God and our prayer to our God is “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.(Matthew 6:10) We are standing, in the strength of our God, against the current of systemic evil. This is the great battle that we are locked in.

What does this mean?  It means standing against the current. Many professing Christians do not have much concept of standing in opposition to  systemic evil. It is not taught as clearly as we teach other things. There is, after all, some ambiguity. Does not the Bible teach that we should be in subjection to our government? There are a number of verses that teach subjection to government. Probably the most well known is Romans13:1-2 It reads this way in the Amplified:

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God [granted by His permission and sanction], and those which exist have been put in place by God. 2 Therefore whoever [a]resists [governmental] authority resists the ordinance of God. And those who have resisted it will bring judgment (civil penalty) on themselves.

How are we to understand verses such as this one and others in Scripture? Ask God how He would have you understand and live out this truth. Keep in mind that most laws of our country are good laws for the benefit of all. I believe that this scripture addresses the general posture that we should take towards most laws and that is compliance. We are not to be anarchists. We believe in good governance and the rule of law. We believe in being good citizens who are contributing to society, not deconstructing it. Yes that's right. We are not anarchists. We believe in good governance and the rule of law. Follow the law in what is good, that is, live out good behaviour. In fact, the next verse following Romans13:1-2 is verse 3 which says; “For [civil] authorities are not a source of fear for [people of] good behavior, but for [those who do] evil. Do you want to be unafraid of authority? Do what is good and you will receive approval and commendation.” (If you want to keep reading this theme continues on to verse 7)In other words, be a good citizen. As Christians we are good citizens. As we follow our God, we are not running a grow-op in our backyard or participating in human trafficking or rioting in the inner city, vandalizing property. We may protest, but peacefully and non-violently. We are good citizens.

I am not saying that there is no place for patiently enduring corrupt government. There is a place for patiently enduring opposition. However, I believe that there is also a place for standing up to government over-reach and systemic evil, in a constructive, non-violent way.

Please remember that the system of government that was in operation, during the time of the writing of the New Testament, was Roman dictatorship. Yes, the Romans had a system of codified law but they still were a dictatorship. Their Caesars and governors held extreme power over their subjects. There was no way of reforming that system. The only way of reforming it was to violently overthrow it, through revolution. God was not in favour of His people violently revolting against Roman rule. It is not surprising then, that we find passages about being subject to government.

We, however, live in a different political system. Canada is a democracy. This means that common men and women do have the potential to reform the political system, in a non-violent, non-revolutionary way. We have a say in how society and government should be conducted. Because we are a democracy, it also means that government should be responsible towards and accountable to its citizens. It means that we have rights and freedoms codified in charters and bills. Those charters and bills are meant to be followed by government officials too, not just by citizens. Those charters and bills are meant to protect citizens from government encroachment and governmental bullying. In a democratic system there is potential for reform. This potential is only realized by pushing back against governmental over-reach and systemic evil, again in a non-violent way.

We are good citizens. However, when our government makes legislation that interferes with our living out or speaking out our faith, we choose to obey God over obeying men. There is a line. I believe in showing patience, but when my government has funded the killing of 85,000 babies through abortions, I don't have patience for that. When my government doesn't want me to speak my Lord's word defending marriage as being between a man and a woman, I don't have patience for that. When my government wants to restrict me from speaking the moral values of my faith, I don't have patience for that. For I am already under command from my Lord Jesus to be;  "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:20)

The classic passage on holy disobedience towards authority is Acts 5:28-29. Here, Jewish authorities arrested some of the apostles for preaching the Gospel. Here are their words and the response of Peter who was among them:

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

If the Christian is having to obey God, rather than government, more and more these days it is because modern Liberal governments directly oppose central tenants of our faith, such as Biblical sexual ethics, the sanctity of human life and our right to speak our sacred beliefs. These are non-negotiables. I would also extend this to resisting mandates to receive chemical substances that we consider dangerous, such as vaccines. We can refuse because our legal system gives everyone the right to decide for themselves what medical interventions we will accept and which ones we will not accept. It is not right for government to punish any citizen for choosing to not receive something that he or she has every legal right to not receive.

Just as the individual is required to follow the law, so, too, government is also required to follow the law and when they don't, in our democratic system, individuals have every right to push back and demand justice, again in a non-violent way.

A classic standoff between God and government was when God, speaking through Moses, told the Egyptian Pharaoh to release the Hebrew people from captivity. We read; “ And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.” (Exodus 5:1)

Saying “Let My people go” is like saying give them freedom. When governments take away freedom from the people they can expect to come into conflict with the one Holy God. In this case God commanded, Pharaoh refused, God sent a devastating plague on the Country, then the whole process was repeated. In the process Pharaoh sometimes agreed but later did not follow through, then God punished Egypt with another plague. This great conflict between God and government followed this cycle ten times until the country was utterly devastated and Pharaoh finally gave in. Even after giving in, Pharaoh changed his mind, went after the Hebrew people, and God ended Pharaoh and his men in the Red Sea. This true story represents a great, drawn out conflict between God and government. It would not have been the right thing for Moses to have given in, but rather, he stood firmly against Pharaoh and saw the battle through to ultimate victory.

Another great example is that of the Hebrew people in Babylon. God's people were in servitude to the pagan empire of Babylon, which had its own false god and false spirituality. The government expected the Hebrew people to assimilate with them. In the book of Daniel we see the lives of a few certain Hebrews Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego . There is an account of king Nebuchadnezzar making a decree for everyone to bow to an image that he had had made. This was a Babylonian expression of their spirituality. However, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar's image, and were miraculously saved from a fiery execution. Daniel too faced a hard situation in that a decree was made by Darius, another king, that no god or no man could be petitioned, except the king for a period of thirty days. The penalty was to be thrown into a den of lions. This law was a violation of Daniel's right to practice his faith and to pray to God. He disregarded this unjust law, continued to pray to God, was thrown into the lion's den, but was protected and spared by God. Daniel disobeyed the law in order to practice his faith. These are great examples for us today.

 Remember John the Baptist. He confronted King Herod on Herod's evil sexual ethics/sexual sin adultery. He was persecuted and eventually martyred. However Jesus Christ commends John the Baptist;

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of

women there is not a greater prophet than  John  the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of

God is greater than he.(Luke 7:28)

Did you know that God is sometimes really offended at some political leaders?

We read “And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.” (1 Kings 16:33)

Ahab was a wicked king who committed many evil deeds. He celebrated the worship of other gods. The Bible especially notes his evil actions of killing an innocent man and taking his property away from him. In this case, the government (Ahab) wanted to have a citizen's land and turn it into a garden. He did so by setting up a propaganda, smear campaign against the man, then killed him and then converted it into a garden. This was wickedness in the eyes of God. The book of 1 Kings tells the drawn out conflict between God and government, as King Ahab and his wife Jezebel conflict with the prophet Elijah and others. As we follow the story we learn in chapter 22 that God willed for Ahab to die in battle and that is exactly what ends up happening.

The question is what do you do when you have an Ahab on the throne of your country, or a Pharaoh, or you are in a Babylon. Do you just patiently suffer and endure? I am not saying that there is no place for that kind of response. There is a place for that kind of response. However, where do you stand when there is a prolonged conflict between God and government and that government has done more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all of the other governments before it. Do you go along with the dictates of that government or do you push back?

Consider the question but don't ponder too long because some in government are taking the battle to you. They are on the offence. They have their own value system and are telling you that your value system is not allowed.  Now they are taking the fight to you. They even have a vaccine for you to receive. We should always show a considerable degree of restraint and never act out violently in our protesting. But should we not stand up?

For me it is a settled issue. Push back! Liberals your value system is  unacceptable to me. I am not a part of your New World Order. I don't want your globalism. I don't want your vaccine. My opposition is constructive. It's not over yet. Liberals there is still some time for you to repent and convert.

(Additional comment at the end of this article)

Anytime that Romans 1:24-32 is quoted,  peoples eyes focus in on these words in verse 32 "...they which commit such things are worthy of death, ...” By quoting that, I am not saying that such a punishment should come through human hands. Nor am I saying that homosexual sin is worse than heterosexual sin. The Bible also says "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) This means that all sin, of every kind,  is deserving of death. Regardless of what you consider your sexual identity to be, I love you and  I do not want to see you or anyone die. God alone is the judge and will execute judgment and will show mercy as and when He sees fit. Thank God for the gift of eternal life which none of us deserve!
